Return of private demand drives 9.6% growth in UK vehicle leasing fleet

The UK vehicle leasing fleet grew by 9.6% year-on-year to reach 2,144,743 cars and vans in Q2 2026. The continued growth of salary sacrifice, coupled with a reversal in the fortunes of personal contract hire (PCH) show an improving picture for consumer demand, according to the latest BVRLA Leasing Outlook report.

Industry tackles residual value challenge holding back zero-emission HGV investment

The inaugural HGV Finance Innovation Summit brought vehicle operators, finance providers, manufacturers and policymakers together to explore solutions to one of the major barriers to HGV decarbonisation. Co-hosted by the BVRLA and Green Finance Institute (GFI), the summit was hosted by KPMG in London and also enabled a series of structured engagements between stakeholders that can bring solutions to market in the years ahead.

Independent dealers offered free training to boost used EV confidence

A new training programme from the BVRLA, IMDA and EVA England is giving independent dealers free practical support to confidently stock and sell used electric vehicles.
