The BVRLA represents over 1,000 companies engaged in vehicle rental, leasing and fleet management. Our membership is responsible for a combined fleet of 4.3 million cars, vans and trucks – one-in-ten cars, one-in-six vans, and one-in-six trucks on UK roads.

BVRLA rental and leasing members are committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity through a mandatory Code of Conduct. Who we work with

BVRLA members represent the demand-side of the automotive industry, buying around 50% of new vehicles, including over 80% of those manufactured and sold in the UK. In doing so, they support almost 500,000 jobs, add £7.6bn in tax revenues and contribute £49bn to the UK economy each year.

Together with our members, the association works with policymakers, public sector agencies, regulators, and other key stakeholders to ensure that road transport delivers environmental, social and economic benefits to everyone. BVRLA members are leading the charge to decarbonise road transport.

Our committees

Having representation from across all membership categories ensures that the BVRLA is kept informed of what issues matter most to members, and can collectively agree on a course of action.

Our commitees

BVRLA Committees consist of member representatives active in the corresponding part of the sector. They exist to steer the activity of the association and represent other members in helping to shape the BVRLA's priorities

BVRLA Board

The BVRLA Board is responsible for strategic direction and policy as well as ensuring that the association is run on a sound financial basis.

Leasing and Fleet Management Committee

The Leasing and Fleet Management Committee consists of a member representatives from a cross-section of large and small organisations who own or manage leased vehicles.

Rental Committee

The Rental Committee consists of member representatives from a cross-section of small and large organisations operating in the vehicle rental and car club sectors.

Leasing Broker Committee

The Leasing Broker Committee consists member representatives from a cross-section of large and small organisations, including intermediaries operating in vehicle leasing and their funders.

Commercial Vehicle Committee

The Commercial Vehicle Committee consists of member representatives from a cross-section of large and small organisations operating LCVs and HGVs.

Residual Value and Remarketing Committee

The Residual Value and Remarketing committee consists of member representatives from the rental, leasing and fleet sectors who focus on issues relating to the residual value of vehicles and resale as part of the de-fleet process.

Vehicle and Fleet Management Committee

The VFM Committee consists of member representatives from the rental, leasing and fleet sectors who have an interest in new technologies and innovations affecting operational effectiveness.
